Padmasambhava Copper Mountain

This painting shows Padmasambhava in his Glorious Copper Mountain Paradise on a continent to the southwest of India. He is said to reign here until the end of time, protecting beeings of the southern continent from the harmful influences of sky demons and jungle trolls. The paradise is said to be on the Chamara (Yak-Tail) Island, one of two said to flank India, and it is knwn as the domain of the cannibal trolls (rakshasas).
